Glover Park DC Homes for Sale and Real Estate
Where Glover Park Starts and Stops
Glover Park runs from Glover-Archbold Park on the west to Wisconsin Avenue on the east, with the grounds of the U.S. Naval Observatory just across the avenue. To the north it reaches roughly Cathedral Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue, where Cathedral Heights begins, and to the south it ends at Whitehaven Parkway and Burleith, with Georgetown beyond. Tunlaw Road and 37th, 39th and 41st Streets are its main residential streets. Glover Park is in ZIP code 20007.
The Homes
Most Glover Park houses are brick rowhouses and semi-detached homes built in the 1920s and 1930s, many with deep front porches, rear yards and full basements. Colonial Revival and Federal-style fronts line the side streets between Tunlaw Road and Wisconsin Avenue. Many basements have been finished over the years, which adds real living space to what can look like a modest house from the street.
Condominiums and co-ops account for most sales. They range from garden-style and Art Deco-era buildings to midrise buildings along Tunlaw Road, 41st Street, W Street and Wisconsin Avenue, and include a small amount of new construction.
What Homes Cost in Glover Park
In the 12 months through September 2026, 103 homes sold in Glover Park, according to Bright MLS closed sales records.
- Houses: median sale price about $1.3 million, with the middle half of sales between about $950,000 and $1.5 million; median 10 days on market; median 100% of list price.
- Condominiums and co-ops: median sale price about $365,000, with the middle half between about $235,000 and $545,000; median 49 days on market; median 98% of list price.
Three-bedroom houses sold at a median of about $1.2 million and four-bedroom houses about $1.45 million. One-bedroom condominiums sold at a median of about $235,000 and two-bedroom condominiums about $530,000.
For sellers, the two markets behave differently. Well-prepared houses have been going under contract in under two weeks, most at or above asking price. Condominiums take longer, and pricing and presentation carry more weight, especially for units that compete with several similar listings in the same building. For houses, how the kitchen and the basement have been updated often decides where a sale lands.
Hillandale
Hillandale is a private, gated community on the north side of Reservoir Road, beside Glover-Archbold Park and across from the Georgetown University campus. It was built from the late 1970s on the former estate of Anne Archbold, who with Charles Carroll Glover gave the land for Glover-Archbold Park. Her 1920s villa and gatehouse still stand at the center of the community, surrounded by townhouses and a smaller number of detached houses on private roads. Hillandale has a homeowners association with monthly dues.
Hillandale is a small market. Over the same 12 months, 6 homes sold there, at a median of about $1.96 million and ranging from about $1.45 million to $2.1 million, according to Bright MLS closed sales records.
Getting Around
Glover Park has no Metro station. Buses along Wisconsin Avenue run north to the Tenleytown–AU station on the Red Line and south through Georgetown toward downtown. The Glover-Archbold Park trail runs the length of the park, south to the C&O Canal. If you are relocating, see what to know before moving to Washington DC.
Parks and Everyday Life
Glover-Archbold Park, about 183 acres of woods and trail, forms the whole western edge of the neighborhood. Guy Mason Recreation Center, off Wisconsin Avenue at Calvert Street, has playing fields, a playground and a dog park, and Whitehaven Park runs along the southern edge. Wisconsin Avenue carries the neighborhood's everyday shopping and dining, including a Whole Foods Market.
Buying or Selling in Glover Park
Sherine Monir is a Realtor with Compass and also a licensed Interior Designer in DC, and she has worked in Upper Northwest DC since 2013. In a neighborhood of similar rowhouses on the same blocks, her design background shapes how a house is prepared and presented so it stands apart before it goes on the market. For buyers, she reads recent Glover Park sales house by house and unit by unit, because a finished basement, parking or a renovated kitchen can move a price by hundreds of thousands of dollars. Buyers weighing Glover Park against its neighbor to the south can compare it with Georgetown. If you are weighing a move, start with whether it is the right time to sell your house in Washington DC.
